After much hemming and hawing, and some crunching of numbers, we set the price at: $25 for the first item and $22 for all subsequent items in a single order.

How we set the price:

We did our best to calculate our material and labor costs, projecting sales as we grow. We compared our designs and materials (non-toxic inks, organic cotton) with other companies out there (ie. market price), and we decided on our shipping method and materials.

Organic cotton apparel can be very pricey. We preferred to print on t-shirts and items that let us set a price at a more or less mainstream level. We do want to promote organic cotton and less chemically-treated living in everyday life, not just special occasions.

Though we print on multiple sizes and styles, we pay the roughly the same per blank (within $0.30-$0.40 difference) whether it is a baby onesie or adult large. This is why a baby printed t-shirt costs the same as an adult one.

Shipping and Handling: Our shipping and handling costs vary depending on the size of the order, the packaging, tags, and other extras we may include with the delivery.

Part of the shipping is calculated in the price of the shirt, and a portion is added in a $3 surcharge. This breakdown allows us to discount multiple purchases, and streamline both the explanation and the paypal integration process.

The following is an explanation of our actual shipping costs, as closely as we can estimate them:

For one shirt, our actual USPS costs run between $2 and $2.50. That's first class with delivery confirmation. Packaging, tags, envelopes, labor, and time are more difficult to calculate -- but we estimated at a little over $1 for a single item, and closer to $2 for multiple items.

For multiple shirts, we use priority mail at a flat rate of $4.55 with delivery confirmation, up to 2 lbs.

For orders that are heavier than 2 lbs, we probably already communicated with you and have worked out the best shipping method for the quantity of purchase.
