What's it's saying?
Well, first, designs and colors - and wording - above are still tentative ones. We'd work on bit more - keeping the atmosphere. If you think just words are fine and so on - we are happy to hear about it so please just drop an email to us!.
- First left one is saying 'What is my priority today?'
- Then second one is saying 'Where do I want to reach in my life?'
- Third one is saying, 'What issues are at the top of global task priority list? And how is humanity tackling them?'
And this is the common backlogo design for 'Tee With Cause' Series, which has a story or two for the meaning of these symbolic things.
The idea behind these tees.
It's a kind of meditation. Or these Tees are not for when you go out. These tees are rather for when you need to have a moment of reflection in your life. Give that big thing for your brain, for your life. A day, or two. To feel, to seek, to ponder, to sink in. Seek, feel, and check that you are getting to what you really want to get in your life. You may have quite one focused day in your apartment and neighborhood - in SF or NYC, or London. Just to get sense. You may have one day, wearing these tees under the shirt - so that people really won't notice - and go into book stores, pick up whatever titles you are interested and really try to expand and shake up your mind. 'Where do I really want to reach? - in my life? - this life is once, only once. And it can go away.' You might be able to wear them when you are with your very close friends or someone you feel secure enough - and so on.
And for that you don't have to have a week vacation. (We thought of making these tees for those who can't afford such vacations. So we want to put the price as low as possible for these...) You are living in cities - or say much part of the English speaking world would give you access to some bookstores and some culturally mixed neighborhood. One Borders or Barns and Noble bookstore - and then one or two corner liquor or deli store ran by Pakistani people or Syrian or Turkish people - and Chinese stores and Russian communities - those are enough to get the sense of how vast and fast moving the world is. We are usually living right in the middle of such gorgeous influx these days.
Unfortunately, we don't have 'humanistics' or - way of looking at human beings as 'just trying' while history and evidences show that we aren't really much more then trying beings, or trying creatures much of the time. There are apparently people who aren't, and who even don't have to be trying in their lives, and often 'established' people get by by rejecting 'trying' people - but we believe much of us are just trying, or most of us humans don't have much more than that. And in that trying, what we put on above Tees would show up. Hey wait a minute, what do I really want to get done - in my life? What would I regret if I don't - do - get done? And if so, how I should be spending my - days, yeah, all these 'everydays'?
And much of us have enough capacity to sense and think about, what's been going on in the world, and so on. (And that maybe the greatest of all the commons we all have piece of it. We don't get just why Lawrence Lessig doesn't go for really studying about 'what are the commons' - but just stick with 'his/my ideas and approaches about commons' only. He should be organizing all kind of researches and studies about all kind of 'commons' - not only limiting to his thing.)
There are lot more to say about this. But these tee shirts indicate our understanding and encouragement - those who all got capacity - capacities, for trying, and try to live more meaningfully, better, worthwhile. We know the world and society isn't, isn't designed to get us live straight and at best speed rather it's often opposite. And living requires lot of strength and experience, resilience, and focus. Lot of sweat and lot of patience. We know that. And these are about that.
Both of our lives never really went, or came straight. We won't say we were dumbest or we were the stupidest but both of our lives never have been that smooth. And we know what's it's like to be trying in SF, or in NYC.
And yes, we aren't, so Mind Alphabet isn't - related to any kind of 'life method' or coach or religion, or thought organization. We aren't related to any of spirituality industries, or any of the political, ideological organizations.
We are just common as chipmunks in your yards.
